First Aid Risk Assessment (Principles & Practice)

Under the Health and Safety Regulations (1981), all employers are required to provide adequate and appropriate equipment and trained personnel to deal with First Aid incidences which may occur in the workplace. A Risk Assessment of First Aid needs must be produced taking into account likely hazards and risks present. 

The purpose of this course is to enable delegates to consider what is necessary to determine the First Aid needs of the business and to produce a thorough First Aid Risk Assessment.

The course consists of practical and theoretical exercises covering: -

  • The employers responsibilities
  • The role of the First Aider in the workplace
  • How to manage a First Aid incident if no qualified First Aiders are present
  • Identifying hazards
  • Assessing risks
  • How to produce a Risk Assessment of First Aid needs

An Ofqual recognised certificate will be awarded to successful delegates.
